New Journey as Academic Support Specialist with Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools!

I am thankful to be a part of this fantastic school district!

A little over two months ago, I joined a new school district...Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools! It has been an exciting whirlwind every since! I have been so consumed with my assignment that I have not been able to blog. Now that my transition is becoming smoother, I am ready to return to the keyboard.

I am the Academic Support Specialist for Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate (the school district's in-house student mentoring program).

I absolutely loved being a classroom teacher, but I wanted a brand new experience after leaving South View Middle.

Click here to read about why I left South View Middle:

My tenure as an Academic Support Specialist has been filled with many different experiences and excursions that I will blog about individually. I have visited Wisconsin, Cullowhee, and Ocracoke to name a few. I also have several things to share about Tar Heel Teachers as well as moments from South View Middle School that I have yet to reveal!

Get ready for several Throwback Thursdays, Flashback Fridays, and Memory Lane Mondays! I will see you soon!

Here is the video, which was selected as the Middle School Winner for the Cumberland County Schools Flipping the Script Contest:

For their hard work, my students received Ten Kindle Fire Tablets! Thanks to the CCS Federal Programs Department for donating the tablets, which will be utilized for instructional purposes!
